Terms of Service
Last updated 2 August 2026
1. What WaveForge is
WaveForge is a browser-based tool that turns an audio file into a visualizer video. All processing happens on your own device. By creating an account or using the tool, you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use the demo or the full studio. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old.
3. The free demo
Free accounts may produce up to three recordings every 24 hours, each up to 30 seconds long, at up to 1080p and 30fps. These limits exist to keep the free tier sustainable and may change over time.
4. Subscription and billing
- The full subscription is $20 per month, billed in advance through Stripe, and renews automatically until cancelled.
- It removes the length limit and the daily recording cap, and raises the export ceiling to 4K at 60fps. Every style, every colour control, all three aspect ratios and watermark-free export are available on the free demo too — those are not things the subscription unlocks.
- Prices may change, but never for a billing period you have already paid for. We will give notice before any increase takes effect.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from inside the app, in one click. There is no retention flow, no email to send and no notice period. Cancellation takes effect immediately, whatever you have used that month — billing stops and full-access features switch off at that moment rather than running on to the end of the period.
Payments already made are non-refundable except where refunds are required by law. If something has genuinely gone wrong, email us and we will look at it.
6. Your content and your videos
You keep all rights to the audio you use and to the videos you produce. We claim no ownership or licence over either — which is straightforward for us to promise, since neither ever reaches our servers.
You are responsible for having the right to use the audio you feed into WaveForge. Visualising a track does not grant you any rights in it; if the audio is someone else's copyrighted work, that remains a matter between you and the rights holder, whatever tool was used to make the video.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use WaveForge to produce material that is unlawful.
- Attempt to bypass the demo limits, the subscription check, or any other access control.
- Resell, redistribute or reverse-engineer the rendering engine as a standalone product.
- Disrupt the service or the infrastructure it runs on.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, or that are used to defraud the payment system.
8. Availability and browser support
WaveForge is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features.
Fast MP4 recording relies on hardware video encoding, which is currently available in Chrome, Edge and Opera. Safari and Firefox fall back to a slower method producing a WebM file. Export speed and quality also depend on your own hardware, so we cannot guarantee a particular result on a particular machine.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WaveForge is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost work or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and material changes will be notified to account holders by email. Continuing to use WaveForge after a change means you accept the updated terms.
